Flamenco performer since 2001, Japhet Hernández aka 'Japh' has performed in Austin, College Station -where he lived for half a year- and Corpus Christi in Texas, in Buenos Aires -where he spent a month- and Campana in Argentina, and several cities across Mexico -including Puebla, his hometown-, participating in some radio and T.V. interviews.
In 2002 started a flamenco-jazz fusion band called Kimera, together with Christian Toledo aka 'Chaps', Juan Soriano aka 'Jaun' and Beto González.
In 2007 he joined Daniel Hernández in the percussions and Jany Matus as singer to create Dja2, a pop band that experiments with various folk instruments and flirts with every rythm that has been carried from the background of each of the members. Its first album will come in January 2008.
His principal music preferences are flamenco, arab, keltic, fado and country music, but also likes jazz, hip hop, latin, among others.
