Hi all, first, thank you very much for visiting our site. We're excited to see some new users signing up and contributing to the video collection.


What this site is about

Basically, we created this site so we could better recognize all of the incredibly talented artists out there. I believe that cover songs are a great way to get noticed, because it is music that people already know and love.


How do the awards work

Every user has 9 awards they can give out - 3 for overall, 3 for voice, and 3 for instrumentals. Reserve these for the best of the best. These are meant to help us find the rockstars among us. Please note that once you run out of votes, you can reassign them to a new user - you do not get new votes though.


Help and Suggestions

The site is still in a beta-mode, as I work out the bugs, implement new features, and speed things up. We LOVE to hear suggestions, and many have already taken advantage of our feedback button - currently a link to my PM :)

Please send in your suggestions. Below are a few that people have already made, so you won't have to repeat them:


Suggestions on the Programming Calendar

  • Fix Profile so you can see all of your videos ( 7 most recent are shown )
  • Forums - I'm deciding the best way to integrate this so you won't have to login twice. PHP guys send tips!
  • Hot Lists - We will have editor picks and moderators than can help us weed through the junk to find the good stuff
  • Competitions - We will soon be holding competitions for particular songs
  • Genres - will be reduced to about 1/2 of the current ones. Also, we will let users select 3-5 genres per video instead of only one.
  • Search by username
  • Better login/logout (cookies, etc)
  • Video views (not just profile views)

There are many other technical things to work out, but those are a few of the core features coming your way.
